International Graphite (ASX:IG6) aims to be a pioneering Australian producer of processed graphite for Lithium-ion batteries, to support the global revolution in electric vehicles and green energy technologies. The Company is establishing a complete mine-to-market supply chain in Western Australia, one of the world’s most attractive Tier One resource jurisdictions. Two flagship projects are being simultaneously developed to ensure a competitive and sustainable supply of battery anode graphite for global battery markets. IG6 owns a high grade natural flake graphite resource at Springdale, in the mining province of Hopetoun/Ravensthorpe, and is building a multi-faceted downstream graphite processing hub in the industrial centre of Collie, south of Perth. IG6's Springdale Graphite Project is now the second largest graphite deposit in Australia and one of the top 15 outside China. A new Mineral Resource Estimate was released in September 2023. The result included a 240% uplift, taking the previous estimate of 15.3Mt @ 6.0% Total Graphitic Carbon (TGC) to 49.3Mt @ 6.5% TGC. It is the culmination of more than 20,500 metres of exploration and infill drilling undertaken during the 2022-23 financial year. Four new graphite discoveries were made with significant exploration targets still to be investigated. A long-life, open cut graphite mine is being planned at Springdale to ensure a secure and stable feed of graphite concentrate for downstream processing at Collie. A pilot scale micronising and spheroidising plant has been commissioned at Collie with a 4000tpa micronising facility expected to be operational in 2024/5. A Scoping Study was released in April 2023 showing outstanding economic projections for the proposed Collie Graphite Battery Anode Material (BAM) Facility. The projections were based on a plant capable of processing up to 40kt/y of graphite concentrates with estimates prepared for the production of both coated and uncoated spheroidised purified graphite products. International Graphite listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in April 2022. The Company was founded by Chairman Phil Hearse, a metallurgist and process engineer recognised as a foremost authority on graphite project development. He is joined by an experienced Board and leadership team, headed by Managing Director and CEO Andrew Worland, who will be presenting at IMARC. International Graphite is establishing a new Western Australian graphite supply chain with complete product stewardship from mine-to-market and the highest industry environmental social and governance (ESG) standards. The Company vision has resulted in $6.7 million in funding from Australian State and Federal Governments.
