Oxley Resources Limited is an Australian mineral exploration and development company with a focus on gold and critical minerals. We are a venture between eight experienced industry specialists from a variety of resource disciplines with a focus on proving up economic deposits of mineral resources on all of our metals and minerals tenements.
Oxley has seven Tier 1 project areas in New South Wales including:
Cowarra Gold Mine (south of Canberra): Historical mining area previously mined by BHP in 1930s and Horizon Pacific in 1980s with average run-of-mine grades between 6-8 g/t Au. A 2004 JORC Resource 37,000 @ 2.4 g/t (1g/t cutoff). A recent soil and IP surveys defined numerous new drill targets.
Gundabooka: Targets are Cobar style polymetallic sulfide deposits along the prolifically mineralised eastern bounding structure of the Cobar Basin. Long Flat propsect shows anomalous Au + multielement geochemistry with rock chips up to 14.4g/t Au. Numerous historical gold mines occur within the EL.
Michelago: Late Silurian VHMS and possible skarn deposits with extensive historical workings (Base Metals and Gold). Numerous untested geophysical and geochemical anomalies.
Mt Margaret: Multiple gold-bearing veins and disseminated sulphide targets prospective for gold and base metals. 7 samples across a 1km strike length in quartz veining adjacent to the workings produced an average 2.7 g/t Au with the best result being 9.5 g/t Au.
Mt Westwood: The exploration targets for this area have been stratiform Pb-Zn deposits similar to Broken Hill and Cannington and Ernest-Henry style stratabound Cu-Au deposits. Drilling undertaken by BHP in the 1990s intersected elevated Zn and Cu. The historical Mt Westwood Gold mine presents rock chip samples up to 0.64g/t Au that have not been followed up.
Warraweena: Thomson Fold Belt geology (Warraweena Volcanics) within EL defined by geophysics and drill hole data. Limited drilling across the project shows encouraging results for precious and base metals with multiple identified targets (Au Cu Pb Zn Sn) including drill intercepts up 1% Cu in shoshonitic island arc andesitic volcanics. Awarded NSW New Frontiers Geophysics grant ($50,000) to advance targets.
Windeyer: Considered highly prospective for Hill End and Hargraves style gold deposits. Includes the Eaglehawk and Golden Group of workings which produced 11,000 oz Au from 13,209 tonnes of ore at approximately 24 g/t Au. Area has had no systematic exploration with only 4 shallow drill holes to 60m.
Oxley Resources was established as a project generator utilising the incubator model of operation, to offer JV partners or project purchasers the geological/geophysical and administrative/compliance expertise to progress one of the above exploration targets.
