Sunstone Metals (ASX:STM) is an ASX listed mineral exploration company with high quality gold-copper porphyry projects in Ecuador comprising the Bramaderos Gold-Copper Project and the El Palmar Gold-Copper Project.
The Bramaderos Gold-Copper project is located in southern Ecuador and is an incorporated joint venture between Sunstone and TSX:V listed Cornerstone Capital Resources (TSX.V:CGP). Sunstone owns 87.5% of La Plata Minerales (‘PLAMIN’) which holds the Bramaderos concession, and loan carries Cornerstone through to production. In November 2021 Sunstone announced the discovery of the Alba gold-copper porphyry deposit, adjacent to the known outcropping Brama gold-copper porphyry. The Bramaderos project includes several similar porphyry opportunities and Sunstone is focused on delivering additional large discoveries.
The El Palmar Gold-Copper project is located in northern Ecuador and is the subject of a Staged Acquisition Agreement with Ecuadorian company Golden Exploration Ecuador (‘GOEX’). Sunstone owns 70% of GOEX, and can earn 100%. In October 2021 Sunstone announced the discovery of a significant gold-copper porphyry at El Palmar with its inaugural drill program.
The team at Sunstone has been involved in significant discoveries of porphyry and epithermal copper-gold mineralisation at Tujuh Bukit in Indonesia and Cascabel in Ecuador, and is preparing to repeat that success at Bramaderos and El Palmar.
All projects are supported by established infrastructure, in close proximity to power, road and/or rail infrastructure and ports.
